According to the national flag carrier, shortly after the flight took off on the morning of October 19, a passenger from the Philippines suddenly suffered a seizure and lost consciousness. The cabin crew immediately requested onboard medical support, while administering first aid and providing oxygen to the 52-year-old passenger.
As the passenger’s condition failed to improve, the captain decided to turn the aircraft back to Hanoi and coordinated with ground staff to prepare an emergency response.
Upon the landing, the passenger was taken to a local medical facility for further treatment. Flight VN661 later resumed its journey to Singapore.
