VietNamNet Bridge – The first officer on a Boeing 777 of Vietnam’s national air carrier Vietnam Airlines has died in a hotel in Paris, France.

The pilot is Nghiem Dinh Tuan, 52, who worked for many years at Vietnam Airlines.

According to the aviation authorities, after a flight from HCM City to France, the aircrew stayed at a hotel to prepare for the next flight. Tuan did not show any abnormal signs.

However, after doing physical exercise, Tuan was tired and returned to his room. The next morning, members of the aircrew detected that Tuan was dead.

The pilot’s death is under investigation. However, it is highly possible that Tuan had a stroke.

A Vietnam Airlines official said that Tuan had a healthy lifestyle. He did not smoke or drink.

The pilot will be brought to Vietnam on December 8.
