The event will be held from December 8 to December 10 in the Vietnamese city of Lao Cai, as well as in Hekou district of Yunnan province of China.

Cyclists will compete in two categories. In the mountain bike category entrants will compete over 25 km, with groups for cyclists between the ages of 16 and 35, 36 and 49, 50 and 65 for men, as well as groups from 16 to 39 and 40 to 65 age for women. 

Competitors will also take part in the road bike category for individuals and team events. Cyclists of various age groups, including 16 to 35, 36 to 45, and 46 to 65 for men, as well as 16 to 39 and 40 to 65 for women will challenge themselves in the 80-km distance. 

Vietnamese citizens and Chinese citizens aged above 16 years old are able to register to participate in the race.

The international cycling race event resumed after three years of disruption caused due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The occasion aims to promote images of local people and landscapes to both domestic and foreign visitors.
