Thailand demonstrated clear dominance despite an early scare. In the 11th minute, Regine Rebosora unexpectedly put the Philippines ahead with a clean finish. But just one minute later, Ariya Saetern equalized to restore parity for the host nation.

From there, Thailand seized control. Before halftime, Phraephloy Huajaiphet gave them the lead with a deflected shot, followed by a perfectly executed penalty from Jenjira Bubpha.

In the second half, Thailand’s supremacy only grew. Goals from Sasikarn Thongdee, Suchanat Nakmai, Hathaichanok Theppakun, and Saowapa Taranga sealed a dominant 7–1 win, placing the team at the top of Group A.

In Group B, Vietnam also had a promising start. Though they controlled possession early on, it wasn’t until the second half that the breakthrough came. Thuy Trang, Thanh Ngan, and Phuong Anh each scored, leading Vietnam to a 3–1 win over Indonesia.

The result temporarily puts Vietnam at the top of Group B, giving the team two days to prepare for their next match against Myanmar, scheduled for 1:30 PM on December 14.
