The Miss Global Vietnam 2024 organizers recently announced the eight finalists competing for the opportunity to represent Vietnam on the global stage.

After rounds of challenges, including traditional ao dai presentations, swimsuit and fashion performances, Nguyen Dinh Nhu Van and Kieu Thi Thuy Hang emerged as the top two contestants.

Nhu Van will represent Vietnam at Miss Global 2024, while Kieu Thi Thuy Hang will take on the role at Miss Global 2025. Both were awarded sashes, trophies, and prizes worth $20,000 each.

Nhu Van expressed her gratitude and determination to excel in the competition, vowing to make Vietnam proud. “I am ready to shout ‘Vietnam’ with pride on the international stage,” she said.

Preparing for an international stage

Nhu Van will compete in Miss Global 2024, with preliminary rounds held in Cambodia and the semi-finals and finals set for March 9, 2025, in Thailand.

A runner-up in The New Mentor 2023, Nhu Van has also served as a catwalk coach for major pageants, including Miss Vietnam, Miss World Vietnam, and Miss National Vietnam. Notably, she trained runner-up Phuong Nhi for Miss International 2023.

Meanwhile, Kieu Thi Thuy Hang will represent Vietnam at Miss Global 2025. Thuy Hang, who previously placed in the top 15 at Miss Universe Vietnam 2019 and top 10 at Miss Cosmo Vietnam 2023, also holds the title of first runner-up at Miss Eco Vietnam 2022.

“I am overjoyed that my hard work has been recognized,” Thuy Hang said. “I am ready to compete internationally and hope to bring home the crown for Vietnam.”

Upholding Vietnamese values on the global stage

Huynh Minh Hoa, the license holder of Miss Global in Vietnam, praised the quality of this year’s candidates, highlighting their skills and striking beauty.

However, he emphasized the importance of inner beauty and the ability to represent Vietnamese culture and values on an international platform.

“The essence of Vietnamese women lies not only in their external beauty but also in their ability to embody and showcase Vietnam’s unique cultural heritage,” he said.

Miss Global, founded in 2013, is a pageant that champions women’s empowerment, cultural diversity, and inner beauty. Vietnam has sent notable contestants in previous years, including Doan Hong Trang, Nguyen Thi My Duyen, and Tran Ngoc Nguyen Khanh. Among them, Doan Thu Thuy achieved the highest ranking with a fourth runner-up title.
