At a reception yesterday (May 22) held for a working delegation of the US-based Exxon Mobil Corporation, President Sang highly valued American firms' contributions to increasing two-way trade between the two countries, and highlighted the US side's support for Viet Nam's participation in the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) agreement.

The State leader expressed his hope that investors from the US and other countries would prosper from their investments in Viet Nam, and suggested that US firms and the Viet Nam National Petroleum Corporation (PetroVietnam) focused on completing trade commitments this year.

Peter Clark and Raymond Jones, two Exxon Mobil vice presidents, spoke to the Vietnamese leader about the progress of joint projects between the US firm and PetroVietnam, and said they hoped the projects would benefit both sides.

Highlighting Viet Nam as an attractive investment destination, the US executives thanked the Vietnamese side for its ongoing support.

Once the co-operation agreements were signed, their corporation pledged to mobilise human resources and other assets to facilitate joint programmes with Vietnamese partners, the guests added.
