VietNamNet Bridge – Vietnam has won two medals (one gold and one silver) at the Balkan International Boxing Tournament in Bulgaria, said the national boxing team training board.

The Vietnamese team included four female boxers: Nguyen Thi Huyen Phuong, Ha Thi Linh, Nguyen Thi Tam and Le Thi Ngoc Anh.

Nguyen Thi Huyen Phuong brought home a gold medal while Ha Thi Linh secured a silver medal.

The tournament drew 130 athletes from 21 countries competing from November 9 to 15.

The Vietnamese boxers joined the tournament with the aim of gaining experience for the qualifying round of the Olympic Games 2016 and other international events in 2016, said coach Nguyen Nhu Cuong.
