Vietnam lost to Malaysia 6-4 on October 29 in the final round of the AFF-Felda Beach Soccer Championship, which took place at Teluk Chempedak beach in Kuantan, Malaysia.

Malaysia got off to a quick start scoring two consecutive goals eight minutes into the first set and a third at the start of the second.

In the second set, two Vietnamese players, Anh Tuan and Vinh Phong, closed the gap, 3-2, with two brilliant scores.

However, Malaysia’s Mohamad Norazman came on strong scoring three unanswered goals to raise the score to 6-2.

In the third set, Tuan Anh fought back and scored two goals in the 1st and 6th minutes, but came up short for the victory.

Despite the loss, Vietnam showed considerable progress in preparation for the 4th Asian Beach Games scheduled for Phuket, Thailand in November.
