China National Publications Import and Export (Group) Corporation has announced its decision to import books from Vietnam under the brand name Chibooks.
The information was unveiled by Nguyen Le Chi, director of Le Chi Culture & Communications Co., Ltd in Hanoi on July 31st.
Chi said Chibooks has recently received an order to export books to New Zealand. She noted that this is a good opportunity to promote the Vietnamese language and culture to the world.
Chibooks was founded by translator Nguyen Le Chi in December 2008. Previously, it focused on publishing contemporary novels from the US, the UK, Australia and China.
Currently, a book written by Ho Anh Thai and other books are being translated by Chibooks into Chinese and English to begin exporting Vietnam’s books to foreign countries.
