During the regional finals, contestants were required to create three dishes: Tournedos Rossini with two garnishes, pasta with a creamy sauce and a fruit tart.

DEYTT is a major culinary competition in Asia, taking place in China, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, South Korea, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam between March and June this year. It is aimed at encouraging training, leadership development and innovation of top chefs under 25 years old from around the world, and promoting French cuisine and art de vivre.

The winner of the Asia Final of the Young Talent Trophy will compete at the World Final in 2017 with culinary talents worldwide.

Last year Panuvit Khaokaew from Thailand, the winner of DEYTT Asia Final, was named the DEYTT World Champion at the World Final in Strasbourg for his creation of traditional French cuisine.

Disciples Escoffier is a French association of more than 25,000 chefs from over 26 countries. For over eight years DEYTT has discovered and trained a multitude of chef talents through apprenticeship with top chefs in Asia that prepares them for various competitions. Transfer of knowledge and passion is one of the core values of the Disciples Escoffier worldwide.
