The recent changes occurring in the world rankings can largely be attributed to a total of 160 international matches taking place across the world in recent weeks. In relation to Vietnam’s recent shift, this can be put down to Madagascar dropping from 93rd to 94th place, with Vietnam staying on 1,258 points after playing no international matches.

The nation continues to be ranked as the highest team in Southeast Asia and are still the 14th best team in Asia overall, according to the latest global rankings.

Elsewhere, Thailand’s total of 1,178 points means they rise two spots to 111st in the world rankings.

Furthermore, the Philippines are placed at 124th, while Myanmar are 137th in the world, with Malaysia down at 153rd.

Moving forward, it is planned that the Vietnamese national team will gather in Hanoi in early December in order to prepare for international matches which are scheduled to take place next year. VOV
