VietNamNet Bridge – Vietnam strongly condemns terror attacks in any form, and such acts must be strictly punished in accordance with the law, stated Foreign Ministry spokesperson Le Thi Thu Hang on Tuesday.

Hang was responding to reporters’ questions related to a terror attack on a military parade in the southwestern city of Ahvaz in Iran on Saturday, which killed 25 people. It was the deadliest attack in Iran in nearly a decade.

“We would like to extend our deepest sympathy to the Government and people of Iran and the families of the victims,” she said.

Earlier, Acting President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh sent her condolences to Iranian President Hassan Rouhani over the tragedy. The same day, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh also sent his sympathies to Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif over the tragedy.
