VietNamNet Bridge - Big Toe, Vietnam’s leading hip-hop dance group, finished fifth out of 17 teams from around the world in the annual Battle of the Year break dance contest that finished last Saturday in France.

Big Toe, in their characteristic red T-shirt with a yellow star representing the Vietnamese flag, showed outstanding coordination.

The group, formed in 1992 with just seven members, has since grown to 60 members divided into four teams who take part in many international contests.

In October they got a Certificate of Merit from the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism’s Vietnam Electronic Sport and Recreational Sport Association.

Battle of the Year, held in Montpellier since 1990, features the winners of regional competitions.

Big Toe won the Southeast Asian BOTY in Singapore to advance to the final.

There were also teams from countries like Japan, Korea, Italy, and Switzerland.

Korea’s Jinjo won contest.
