In Southeast Asia, Vietnam has secured the 1st place – the highest position since June 2013.

In the February FIFA rankings announced on March 13, Vietnam jumped 18 notches to the 125th position in the world, with 224 points in total, up 52 points from a month earlier.

Vietnam climbed six steps to rank 17th in Asia. Iran continues leading Asia, followed by Japan, Uzbekistan, and the Republic of Korea.

The world’s top three remained unchanged - Spain, Germany and Argentina. The Netherlands dropped out of the top 10 list, replaced by Belgium.

In the region, the Philippines gained only one point in the month and dropped by three spots to 130th in the world (19th in Asia).

The following positions in Southeast Asia belong to Malaysia (141st in the world, 22nd in Asia), Thailand (148th in the world, 26th in Asia), Singapore (149th, 27th), Indonesia (154th, 29th), Laos (172nd, 36th), Myanmar (173rd, 38th), Cambodia (188th, 42nd), Brunei (191st, 43rd), East Timor (191st, 43rd).

This month, Myanmar lost up to 43 spots.
