New fitness coach Miguel Ledesma Carrasco of Vietnam futsal team.

The Spanish coach has previous experience working for Levante UD and CLB Villarreal in La Liga.

In addition, he also worked as a fitness coach for Peniscola FS in the Spanish Primera División de Futsal.

Currently, Carrasco is employed as a coach by Thai Son Nam futsal club.

He will work with the Vietnamese national futsal team alongside his fellow Spaniard Antonio Garcia who is working as the side’s goalkeeping coach. Their task is to help the national futsal team to make the best preparations for the 2021 FIFA Futsal World Cup which is set to take place this September in Lithuania.

The national team are scheduled to gather on July 20 for a training camp where they will compete in a futsal tournament alongside Japan, Guatemala, and the hosts Spain between August 28 and August 31.

Vietnam will then play friendlies against Spanish side Cordoba on September 3 followed by a game against Morocco three days later.

At the 2021 FIFA Futsal World Cup’s finals in Lithuania, Vietnam will face Brazil in Group D’s opener on September 13. They will then take on Panama and the Czech Republic on September 16 and September 19, respectively.
