VietNamNet Bridge - The Government has approved a list of high-tech products for research and development in Vietnam.

Vietnam also encourages development of smart homes.

As of January 15, 2015, the country will give priority to develop 58 technologies and encourage the development of 114 high-tech products.

In particular, a number of modern technologies will be developed, including: integrated circuit design and manufacture technology; artificial intelligence technology; flexible electronics technology; aviation and space technology; robot design and manufacturing technology; clean material production technology at industrial scale; and nanomaterial technology, among others.

Some high-tech products will be encouraged for development, including: network security software at high level; smart cards and smart card readers; smart home devices; intelligent traffic control systems; automatic testing systems; satellites and satellite equipment among others.
