VietNamNet Bridge – Viet Nam sealed three golds and one silver in the performance events at the 21st World Military Taekwondo Championship, which started on Sunday in HCM City.

Meanwhile, China brought home two gold medals in the combat events.

Around 200 military athletes from 30 countries are competing for 22 sets of medals.

This is the first time Viet Nam has hosted such a week-long tournament and is the largest of its kind to be organised by the International Military Sports Council.

* Ha Noi reigns as woodball open concludes

Athletes from the Ha Noi Club won the bulk of Under-50 category medals in both the stroke and fairway event at the second Ha Noi Woodball Open, which wrapped up on Sunday.

In the men's stroke event for the over 50 group, the spoils went to the 212 Chemical Company, while Thai players dominated the women's event, sealing first, second and third place.

The two-day event at My Dinh Sports Complex drew more than 60 players from Viet Nam and Thailand.
