Addressing the event, Le Hoang Tai, deputy director of the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (Vietrade) under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, emphasised that the campaign held during the year-end shopping season is expected to help businesses across all economic sectors proactively deploy promotional schemes, with discounts up to 100% on offer.
Furthermore, he said businesses are encouraged to design promotional schemes with diverse and attractive forms to provide customers with greater opportunities to gain access to high-quality goods and services at reasonable prices.
With the aim of enhancing supply and demand linkages nationwide through both traditional trade and e-commerce platforms, localities and businesses are encouraged to deploy promotional activities and organise trade fairs and exhibitions to promote domestic consumption and attract tourists to Vietnam.
The campaign is part of the ongoing national trade promotion and brand development programme carried out by the Ministry of Industry and Trade to develop the domestic market, diversify forms of purchasing and promotion, and boost production, contributing to the country's economic recovery and development.
Under the programme, businesses are allowed to offer promotions up to 100% from December 4, 2023 to February 9, 2024.
