Representatives of the Telecommunications University (TCU) under the Signal Corps worked with Indian Defence Attaché Colonel Paranvir Singh Punia in Vietnam on July 16 to discuss ways to accelerate the implementation of defence cooperation programmes signed between the two countries.

Accordingly, the two sides agreed to accelerate the disbursement of non-refundable aid from the Indian Government to build two new classrooms at the V ietnam-India IT and Foreign Language Centre at the university in Nha Trang city in central Khanh Hoa province .

They also discussed plans to send Indian lecturers to TCU in the near future in order to help train Vietnamese teachers.

The Centre, which was set up under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the Vietnamese and Indian Governments in 2014, was inaugurated early April this year .

Its goal is to develop high-quality human resources for the expansion of the Vietnam People’s Army.

The centre offers training courses for TCU lecturers and students and pilots an English language teaching model that offers relevant national and international certificates.
