The travel trade show, a leader of its kind in Asia-Pacific, attracts more than 1,000 delegates from over 60 countries around the world.

It is held in different destinations annually and aims to introduce tourism products and services in Asian-Pacific markets.

The Vietnamese delegation to the event includes officials of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines, and six travel companies.

Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong, Office Manager at the ministry, said Vietnam participates in the travel mart every year. This time, it presents tourism achievements, new products and policies with a view to attracting more foreign tourists to the country.

More than 10,000 appointments have been scheduled to take place during the mart from September 7-9, providing an opportunity for businesses to seek partnership, according to organisers.
