The rise is attributed to the team’s 1-1 draw against Iraq in the World Cup Qualifying Round on October 8, which added 244.38 points to the team’s total points.

The team maintained its third place in Southeast Asia, where the Philippines remained on top despite dropping three spots to 137th place worldwide, followed by Thailand, which gained one spot to 144th position.

Iran led Asia though it dropped two spots to 87th globally while the second and third places were held by the Republic of Korea and Japan, with each gaining five spots. Vietnam ranked 24th.
