VietNamNet Bridge - The national football team of Vietnam has dropped by 22 grades to stand at 120th in the FIFA rankings in July, getting out of the top 100.



However, Vietnam still leads Southeast Asian nations, followed by Thailand (135th) the Philippines (152nd), Indonesia (153rd), Malaysia (157th) and Singapore (158th).

In Asia, Japan tops the list at 20th grade, followed by Australia, South Korea, Iran and Uzbekistan.

Vietnam’s new ranking places them at 16th position amongst Asian nations.

The champion of EURO 2012, Spain, continues to top the global rankings with 1691 points, followed by Germany with 1502 points. The third place belongs to Uruguay.

Brazil has fallen by 6 grades and moved out of the top 10 for the first time since FIFA rankings began in 1992. It now sits at 11th position.

Meanwhile, EURO 2012’s runner-up Italy has jumped six notches to 6th position.

The next FIFA rankings will be announced on August 8, 2012.
