The show will include three parts: introducing the 60-member Rhapsody Philharmonic Orchestra of the Vietnam National Institute of Music, the 40-member choir of the Hanoi Music Encouragement Club, and the performance of the Vietnam Song and Dance Theater.
Music and dance shows will also take place at outdoor stages in Hanoi on the evening of September 3 and 4.
On September 6, a special show will be held at the Au Co Theater to remind the audience of the battlefield in Quang Tri province 40 years ago. The program will be aired live on the national TV channel VTV.
In HCM City, activities to celebrate the Vietnam’s Music Day commenced on August 28, with the “Fatherland looked from the Sea” show. On September 3, Nguyen Bach Music School’s students will perform the “Piano sing” show.
In the central city of Da Nang, a music composing camp opened on August 25. At the same time, artists from 13 provinces in the Mekong Delta will group in Can Tho City to participate in the “Singing from Rivers” show on the evening of September 2. Many music shows will be also held in Hue, Quang Ngai, Hai Phong, Phu Tho, Phu Yen, Vung Tau and Ha Tinh.
Last year the first Vietnam’s Music Day was successfully held in 15 provinces.
