The organization holding Vietnam's Miss Earth franchise announced Thu Uyen as the country's official representative for the 2026 competition. Unlike previous years, the selection was made directly by the organizers rather than through the Miss Earth Vietnam national pageant.

Born in Hai Phong, Thu Uyen graduated with a degree in Business Administration. Standing 1.70 meters tall, she has measurements of 84-61-94 cm and currently works in the healthcare and beauty sector.

She earned the nickname "Tech Beauty Queen" after co-founding and serving as CEO of a technology-related company.

Throughout her academic career, Thu Uyen won numerous city-level academic awards and received scholarships during her undergraduate studies, as well as scholarship opportunities from universities in France, the United States, and South Korea.

In 2021, she was also selected as a delegate to the Vietnam Global Young Intellectual Forum.

Her pageant journey includes a Top 16 finish at Miss Universe Vietnam 2022, followed by the title of Second Runner-up at Miss Tourism Vietnam Global 2024, before earning the opportunity to represent Vietnam at Miss Earth.

Pham Hoang Thu Uyen is known for her balanced physique and entrepreneurial background.

Thu Uyen promotes the image of a modern, dynamic young woman with interests spanning education, technology and community engagement.

She believes competing on an international stage is not only an opportunity to challenge herself but also a chance to introduce Vietnam to a global audience.

"I believe the greatest pressure isn't achieving a particular result, but the responsibility of representing Vietnam," she said. "Every word, every action and the way I conduct myself contributes to how my country is perceived internationally. I will prepare seriously and do my very best."

Last year, Vietnam's representative Trinh My Anh finished as Miss Earth Water, one of the competition's four elemental titles. Rather than viewing that achievement as added pressure, Thu Uyen said it serves as motivation to work even harder.

Thu Uyen favors elegant, figure-hugging evening gowns that highlight her confident style.

She is currently focusing on strengthening the skills considered essential for Miss Earth, including stage presentation, English-language communication and, most importantly, her environmental advocacy project, which plays a central role in the competition.

At the same time, she continues to improve herself with an open mindset while seeking guidance from the organizers and former Vietnamese representatives.

Speaking in English during her introduction, Thu Uyen emphasized that she is not placing undue pressure on herself to achieve a specific ranking.

Instead, she hopes to leave a lasting impression as a responsible, dedicated contestant who gives her best throughout the competition.

She also aims to showcase a Vietnam that proudly preserves its cultural heritage while embracing innovation, global integration and sustainable development.

According to Thu Uyen, beyond its breathtaking landscapes and welcoming people, Vietnam is home to a new generation of young professionals making meaningful contributions in science, technology, education and sustainable development.

Founded in 2001, Miss Earth is one of the world's leading international beauty pageants, distinguished by its emphasis on environmental protection, sustainability and community-based initiatives.

Each edition attracts approximately 80 to 90 contestants from countries and territories around the world.

The reigning Miss Earth is Natálie Puškinová of the Czech Republic.

The Miss Earth 2026 final is scheduled to take place in the Philippines this November.
