VietNamNet Bridge – The third season of Vietnam’s Next Top Model contest will officially kick off with casting rounds in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi on June 7 and 17 respectively.

The Vietnamese version of America’s Next Top Model is open for all Vietnamese girls with the height from 1.68m who have passion of modeling.

At the casting rounds, contestants have to perform catwalk in their own costume, swimsuit as well as to pose in front of the camera and have interviews with the judges.

This year’s jury will include all old judges of last year like model Xuan Lan, photographer Pham Hoai Nam, makeup expert Nam Trung and fashion designer Do Manh Cuong.

The winner will get a VND1 billion (US$50,000) contract with BeU Model & Talent Management in 2 years, will be chosen to appear on the cover of Cosmopolitan, a well-known magazine from the US and receive VND200 million (US$10,000) in cash from the magazine.

First launched in 2010, Vietnam’s Next Top Model has drawn a lot of public attention. After the contest, several young models have gained certain success.

Last August, first season’s winner, Huyen Trang, attended “Best Model of the World 2011” in Bulgaria and won the Best Asia prize.
Last year’s contest which gathered around 2,000 girls across the country attracted big attention with the participation of former American supermodel Tyra Banks, creator and host of the American reality show.
