The establishment of Vietnam Cybersecurity Day aims to accelerate the implementation of national cybersecurity measures and increase public awareness of the importance, benefits, and role of cybersecurity.

This annual event is intended to foster the involvement of the entire political system and encourage collective action at all levels of government, ensuring the effective implementation of cybersecurity strategies.

The Ministry of Public Security will oversee the organization of Vietnam Cybersecurity Day, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism; the Ministry of Science and Technology; the Ministry of National Defense; and other related ministries.

Provincial authorities and relevant sectors will be responsible for implementing activities that align with the day’s objectives.

In addition to these efforts, associations such as the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the National Cybersecurity Association, the Vietnam Information Security Association, and the Vietnam Internet Association will mobilize their member organizations to actively participate in promoting cybersecurity initiatives.

Vietnam Television, the Voice of Vietnam, and the Vietnam News Agency will play a key role in broadcasting information on cybersecurity and highlighting successful examples of agencies, organizations, and businesses that have taken a leading role in implementing cybersecurity measures.

The Prime Minister has also called on media outlets at both the central and local levels to increase their promotion of Vietnam Cybersecurity Day and to create programs that recognize outstanding achievements in cybersecurity. These efforts will extend internationally, promoting Vietnam’s cybersecurity initiatives abroad.
