VietNamNet Bridge – Lan Ngoc, leading actress in “Floating Lives” won the Best Actress while Dinh Toan who played King Le Long Dinh in “Thang Long Aspiration” received the Best Actor titles at the Golden Kite Award 2011 ceremony in HCM City on March 13.

Earlier, Lan Ngoc won the Yellow Apricot Prize for the same role, Nuong, in “Floating Lives”. Vo Thanh Hoa, who played Nuong’s younger brother, was named best supporting actor.

“Long thanh cam gia ca” (The Fate of a Songstress in Thang Long) won three prizes including the Golden Kite Award for the Best Feature Film, Film Editing and Costume Design.

“Floating lives” directed by Nguyen Phan Quang Binh is the second best movie, winning the Silver Kite Award. Meanwhile, Thang Long Aspiration, film director Luu Trong Ninh won Best Director and Vu Dinh Toan was crowned Best Actor.

The Golden Kite Award is Vietnam's most prestigious annual film festival, presented by the Vietnam Cinema Association. It first started in 2003, with Golden, Silver and Bronze Kite Awards.
