VietNamNet Bridge – Vietnam’s futsal club, Thai Son Nam, will encounter strong Japanese opponents Nagoya Oceans at the upcoming 2013 AFC Futsal Club Championship from August 27 to September 1.
The recent draw results showed that Thai Son Nam stay in the same group with Nagoya Oceans that are likely to win this year’s tournament.
Established in 2006, the Japanese FC is known nationwide for having won five championship titles in Japan’s F. League.
The club defeated Iran’s Shahid Mansouri to come in first at the 2011 AFC Futsal Club Championship.
Vietnam will also be joined in group A by Shenzhen Nanling from China and Al Sadaka from Lebanon.
Group B includes Sanaye Giti Pasand (Iran), Ardus FC (Uzbekistan), Chonburi Bluewave (Thailand) and Al Sadd SC (Qatar).
In the 2012 AFC Futsal Club Championships, Sanaye Giti Pasand from Iran took the title with Uzbekistan’s Ardus FC coming in second.
