Bac Ninh Provincial Police said on Sept. 16 that its investigative police agency had issued the notice for Hien, born in 1990.

His permanent residence is registered in Vinh Tuy Ward, Hanoi, while authorities identified his current address as 30 Tan Phu Street, Tan My Ward, Ho Chi Minh City.

According to police, Hien has been charged with infringement of copyright and related rights under Clause 2, Article 225 of Vietnam’s Criminal Code.

Authorities said that before fleeing on May 13, 2026, Hien had been living at 19 Than Van Nhiep Street, Binh Trung Ward, Ho Chi Minh City.

The Bac Ninh Provincial Police Investigation Agency subsequently issued the wanted notice in accordance with Vietnam’s Criminal Procedure Code.

Hien is known as the CEO of Box Vietnam Joint Stock Company, which operates in marketing, communications, digital content and esports.

Box Vietnam has focused on gaming, streamers and esports and became more widely known after securing exclusive Vietnamese broadcast rights to League of Legends Champions Korea, or LCK, South Korea’s top-tier professional League of Legends competition.

The company has held the rights to broadcast the competition in Vietnam since June 2021.

Bac Ninh police have asked government agencies, organizations and members of the public to provide information and assist authorities in locating the defendant in accordance with the law.
