The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism will promote tourism in Vietnam in Kaohsiung and Taipei cities in China’s Taiwan from July 24-27.



In the first six months of 2018, Vietnam welcomed nearly 340,000 Taiwanese visitors, a year-on-year rise of 13.8 percent.

In 2017, the country served more than 616,000 Taiwanese tourists, up 121.5 percent against 2016. The number is expected to hit 800,000 in 2018.

The Taiwanese tourism sector aims to host 700,000 Vietnamese holidaymakers in 2018.-VNA
