Vietnam has earned 9 points to put it in the 8th place on the ‘Grand Slam’ Ranking of the website Global Beauties (GB) this year.

The result is calculated based on a nations’ achievements across the world’s 6 most acclaimed beauty pageants, including Miss Universe, Miss World, Miss International, Miss Supranational, Miss Grand International, and Miss Earth.

Vietnam’s success largely results from strong performances from H'Hen Nie, (top 5 at the Miss Universe pageant), Phuong Khanh (Miss Earth winner), Tran Tieu Vy (top 30 at Miss World), Bui Phuong Nga (top 10 in Miss Grand International), and Minh Tu (top 10 in Miss Supranational).

Venezuela topped the GB Grand Slam list as the Country of the Year in 2018, finishing with 17.10 points. They were followed by the Philippines (15.40 points), and Mexico (14.60 points).

The Global beauties' continental Countries of 2018 are the Philippines from Asia, Venezuela from the Americas, Puerto Rico from the Caribbean, South Africa from Africa, Poland from Europe, and Australia from Oceania.
