The figures were shared by Sony Vietnam CEO Nakashima Tomohiro on Oct. 2 at the launch of the company's new ULT Tower party speaker lineup.
Nakashima said music plays an important role in the lives of Vietnamese people.
Vietnam ranks among the world's top 10 online music markets, with 87.4% of internet users aged 16 and above listening to music online every week.
Vietnamese consumers also spend an average of 3.52 days a week listening to music, higher than the global average of 3.02 days.

Demand for music-based home entertainment is also high in Vietnam. Among users who own karaoke speakers, 62% said singing karaoke at home was the form of indoor entertainment they used most frequently.
Sony's new ULT Tower party speaker lineup in Vietnam consists of three models: the Tower 5, Tower 7 and Tower Max.
All three feature a dedicated ULT button that allows users to adjust the sound and switch between four different audio modes.
The first mode enhances deep, powerful bass and is designed for genres such as rap, hip-hop and R&B.
The second delivers more forceful bass and is intended for EDM, dance and remix tracks.
The third, Flat mode, is designed to reproduce a more natural sound and is suited to ballads, pop and acoustic music.
The final setting, Live mode, creates a wider soundstage intended to resemble a live performance while maintaining vocal clarity and powerful bass, making it suitable for live shows and concert-style listening.
The flagship of Sony's three new speakers is the ULT Tower Max, priced at VND39.99 million, or about $1,520.
The speaker features nine drivers, including three 280mm woofers, with two positioned at the front and one facing the rear.
Its amplifier delivers output of up to 2,150W, producing powerful bass and high maximum sound pressure.
The 360-degree Party Sound mode is designed to distribute audio throughout a space, allowing listeners in different positions to clearly hear vocals and experience the impact of the bass.
However, the ULT Tower Max's large dimensions make it bulky, while its high price means it is primarily suited to large parties and may be difficult to accommodate in typical home environments.
