The 19 new cases were reported in 5 provinces: Hanoi (1), Hai Duong (12), Quang Ninh (2), Dien Bien (3) and Ha Giang (1).

Hanoi had one case, patient 1958, who was F1 of patient 1814, related to the outbreak in Chi Linh city, Hai Duong province.

Hai Duong, the country’s largest hotspot, recorded 12 new cases (patients from 1973 to 1975). Two patients are workers at an industrial zone in Chi Linh city, 8 cases are related to the industrial zone in Chi Linh and 2 cases are related to the outbreak in Cam Giang district, Hai Duong province.

Quang Ninh recorded 2 more patients – 1968 and 1969, who were the F1 of patient 1627, related to the outbreak at POYUN Company, Hai Duong province.

Dien Bien Province reported 3 patients - 1970, 1971, 1972. Two of them were F1 cases related to outbreaks in Cam Giang district, Hai Duong province and 1 case is under epidemiological investigation.

Ha Giang province recorded 1 patient, 1976, who was F1 case of patients 1871 and 1872, related to the outbreak in Cam Giang district, Hai Duong province.

So far, the country has recorded 1,957 cases of Covid-19, including 1,087 domestically-transmitted cases.

Since January 28, Covid-19 pandemic has hit 12 provinces, with 394 locally-transmitted cases.

As many as 1,465 COVID-19 patients in Vietnam have been given the all-clear. The fatalities stand at 35.

Of the active patients, 10 have tested negative for the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 once, three twice and two thrice.

More than 80,110 people who had close contact with COVID-19 patients or came from pandemic-hit areas are under health monitoring nationwide.

The Ministry of Health on February 5 sent experts to the northern mountainous province of Dien Bien to help the locality in the pandemic combat.
