This is the province’s first international exchange centre, aiming to promote friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and the RoK, particularly between Binh Duong province and Daejeon City in the RoK.

The centre’s inauguration is part of the events to mark 20th anniversary of friendly relations between Vietnam and the RoK (December 22).

The 1,200 square metre building has been equipped with modern teaching facilities and standard rooms for teachers and learners. It’s main purpose is to hold cultural exchanges and offer vocational training, as well as consulting services.

Businesses from Vietnam and the RoK donated nearly VND1 billion to the centre at the launching ceremony.

The province also granted certificates of merit to individuals and collectives that have promoted friendship and cooperation between Binh Duong and Daejeon in the 2005-2012 period.

A cultural exchange gala was also held the same day featuring a variety of activities such as a ‘food street’, folk games and art performances.

Binh Duong has attracted many RoK investors and more than 500 RoK businesses have projects in the province with around US$1.5 billion in registered capital.
