VietNamNet Bridge – Vietnam wants the Supreme Court of the Republic of Korea (RoK) to continue to share experience and provide assistance to the country’s court sector in the coming time.
This remark was made by the President Truong Tan Sang at a reception for a delegation of the RoK’s Supreme Court, led by Court Administration Minister and Supreme Court Justice Cha Han Sung, in Hanoi on July 18.
He affirmed that cooperation between the two court sectors has helped deepen the strategic partnership between the two countries.
Vietnam will do its best to strengthen cooperation with RoK, Sang said, adding that the start of negotiations for a free trade agreement will be a driving force for trade relations between the two countries.
Members of the RoK delegation also said that they hope the two countries will continue to increase ties in all sectors to make their strategic partnership practical, effective and intensive.
Earlier, at their talks, leaders of the Supreme People’s Court of Vietnam and the RoK Supreme Court expressed their expectation for legal cooperation between the two bodies on the basis of mutual understanding and respect in the future.
They signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation between the two supreme courts, under which they will exchange judicial information and train court staff.
The same day, the Supreme People’s Court of Vietnam inaugurated a school for court staff training in Kim Son commune, Gia Lam District, Hanoi. The school was built with the financial support from the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).
