On the evening of August 27, the organization with the rights to send contestants to Miss Asia Pacific International officially announced that Pham Thi Anh Vuong would be Vietnam’s representative at this year's competition.

Born in 2002, Anh Vuong stands 1.74 meters tall and boasts measurements of 86-60-94 cm. She is currently pursuing a degree in Vietnamese Studies at Saigon University. Beyond her academic pursuits, Anh Vuong is recognized as a model, catwalk coach, and media ambassador at various universities.

Representing Vietnam at Miss Asia Pacific International 2024 is both an honor and a challenge for Anh Vuong. Expressing her excitement, she said: "I am immensely proud to wear the Vietnam sash and to shout out the name of my country at an international beauty contest. I will strive to present the most beautiful image of Vietnam and deliver unforgettable performances."

Anh Vuong is no stranger to the pageantry world. She was a top 30 finalist at Miss Ethnic Vietnam 2022 and made it to the top 15 at Miss Grand Vietnam 2023. This year, she returned to Miss Grand Vietnam and secured the 4th runner-up position.

Known for her strong physique, striking features, and impressive stage presence, Anh Vuong has gained considerable attention, although she acknowledges that her English skills still need improvement.

Her journey to becoming Miss Asia Pacific International Vietnam 2024 has been marked by perseverance and determination.

Growing up in challenging circumstances, she supported her family by engaging in various labor-intensive tasks such as digging bamboo shoots, peeling cassava, herding cattle, and collecting cow dung.

Reflecting on her upbringing, she shared: "Despite the difficulties, I cherish those times filled with happiness and joy. My goal is to succeed early so that I can repay my parents."

Anh Vuong credits her family, especially her parents, as her greatest source of motivation and support. Their guidance has been invaluable, particularly during difficult times, and has instilled in her a deep appreciation for family and a commitment to helping those less fortunate.

A passionate advocate for education, particularly for disadvantaged children, Anh Vuong believes that education is the foundation for improving quality of life and fostering the comprehensive development of communities and the nation.

As the competition date approaches, Anh Vuong is focused on refining her performance and communication skills. With less than two months until the pageant, she will soon travel to the Philippines, where she will compete against over 40 other contestants.

Miss Asia Pacific International is one of the oldest international beauty pageants, first held in the Philippines in 1968. The reigning Miss Asia Pacific International is Chaiyenne Huisman from Spain.

The grand finale of Miss Asia Pacific International 2024 is scheduled for October 7 in Manila, Philippines.
