
The latest statistics released by the Customs Department showed that Bac Ninh’s export turnover continued to surge in April, reaching USD 8.8 billion.
In the first four months of this year, Bac Ninh maintained its lead among Vietnam’s top-exporting localities with total export turnover of nearly USD 32.81 billion.
With export value reaching nearly USD 31.33 billion, Ho Chi Minh City ranked second, trailing leading Bac Ninh by USD 1.48 billion.
Phu Tho came next with export turnover of USD 16.04 billion.
With this figure, Phu Tho overtook Hai Phong to become Vietnam’s third-largest exporting locality in the first four months of the year.
Recording export turnover USD 680 million lower than Phu Tho during the same period, Hai Phong slipped to fourth place with USD 15.36 billion.
With exports valued at USD 12.3 billion, Thai Nguyen also surpassed Dong Nai, which posted USD 11.18 billion, to secure fifth place among the country’s highest-exporting localities.
Compared to the full-year rankings in 2025, the top five positions have seen significant changes.
Last year, the five localities with the highest export turnover in Vietnam were Bac Ninh with USD 93.27 billion, Ho Chi Minh City with USD 92.68 billion, Hai Phong with USD 46.55 billion, Phu Tho with USD 36.59 billion, and Dong Nai with USD 35.01 billion.
