The Can Gio Urban Area Project, also known as Vinhomes Green Paradise, has officially applied to participate in the “7 Wonders of Future Cities” campaign, a prestigious global initiative launched by the internationally renowned New7Wonders organization.
By embracing this global effort, Vinhomes reaffirms its bold, forward-thinking vision. The project positions itself not merely as a real estate development but as a global symbol of future urban living.
Vinhomes confirmed its intent to join the “7 Wonders of Future Cities” campaign immediately after the initiative’s official launch on October 31, 2025. The campaign calls upon global citizens to nominate and vote for seven cities that best exemplify innovation, sustainability, and human progress - cities that define the concept of a “City of the Future.”
For the next year, submissions from participating cities and developments will be accepted. The voting phase begins on October 31, 2026, culminating in the announcement of the final seven wonders on October 31, 2027.
This campaign goes beyond selecting urban marvels. It celebrates 21st-century civilization and honors cities that lead in sustainable planning, human-centric innovation, and cutting-edge technologies.
By these criteria, Vinhomes Green Paradise - the Can Gio coastal reclamation and eco-urban development project - stands out as an exemplary candidate. It represents one of the most advanced ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) urban models in the world.
Situated in the coastal ecological zone of Can Gio, Ho Chi Minh City, adjacent to the UNESCO-recognized Can Gio Mangrove Biosphere Reserve, the development spans 2,870 hectares and boasts a 121-kilometer coastline, including 53 kilometers of public beachfront. Once completed, it will become the largest coastal megacity in Vietnam, envisioned as a leading regional “eco-tech marine city.” The project follows the ESG++ model, which integrates smart operations, renewable energy, and a master plan that harmonizes forest and sea.

Vinhomes Green Paradise is pioneering in its ambition to achieve the globally respected BREEAM Communities certification, a rigorous standard for sustainable urban planning, alongside ISO 37122, a national benchmark for smart city development.
The project's technologies adhere to principles of environmental harmony, energy and water optimization, carbon footprint monitoring, and full reliance on renewable energy. This includes the creation of an offshore wind power system, located 20 kilometers offshore, using advanced technologies to generate a continuous supply of green energy for the township.
Additionally, Vinhomes is investing in sustainable transportation, aiming for 100% of all vehicles operating within the city to be net-zero emissions.
With its unique “forest-backed, sea-facing” geography, the township maintains an average temperature about 2°C lower than central Ho Chi Minh City. It is poised to become a green, sustainable urban icon for southern Vietnam. As part of its commitment to sustainable development, Vinhomes Green Paradise fully complies with environmental protection standards and prioritizes biodiversity conservation and regeneration throughout its development process.
Beyond transforming the southern coast of Vietnam, Vinhomes Green Paradise sets a new standard for the future of urban living. Its exceptional amenities include an 800-hectare saltwater lagoon, the Blue Waves Theatre, an 18-hole golf course, a series of amusement parks, and the Landmark Harbour marina complex. Together, these attractions are expected to draw up to 40 million visitors each year.

Nguyen Thu Hang, CEO of Vinhomes, stated: “We highly value the New7Wonders initiative for honoring humanity’s dedication to shaping future cities. The vision that New7Wonders promotes aligns perfectly with Vinhomes’ philosophy: building timeless urban marvels where technology, nature, and humanity coexist in harmony. Vinhomes Green Paradise in Can Gio, developed to meet the world’s highest ESG standards, is a living embodiment of that vision - a symbol of a new era that defines future living and safeguards lasting values for generations to come.”
Since its establishment 25 years ago, New7Wonders has become a global cultural movement. The organization is known for its influential “New 7 Wonders of the World” and “New 7 Wonders of Nature” campaigns, which have engaged hundreds of millions of people worldwide. In 2007, the organization unveiled its list of the new wonders of the world, including the Great Wall of China, the Colosseum in Italy, and the Taj Mahal in India. In 2011, Vietnam’s Ha Long Bay was voted one of the “New 7 Wonders of Nature,” joining the Amazon, Iguazu Falls, and Jeju Island.
Building on that legacy, the “7 Wonders of Future Cities” campaign invites the world to redefine urban greatness and elevate global standards for 21st-century living. Vinhomes Green Paradise’s application highlights not only Vietnam’s rising status in global real estate but also Vinhomes’ pioneering vision in driving transformational and influential urban developments.
With more than 30 modern urban projects reshaping cityscapes across Vietnam, Vinhomes continues to lead in crafting world-class mega-urban developments. Each Vinhomes development is more than a residential area - it is a symbol of progress, green living, and prosperity.
