China on July 7 used up to 110 ships of various types, including four military ships to defend the oil rig HD-981, which is standing illegally in Vietnam’s waters, and prevent Vietnamese law enforcement ships from operating in their national waters.

Deputy Commander of the Vietnam Marine Police Agency, announced that China has introduced fighter planes in its effort to protect the oil rig that it is illegally building in Vietnam’s waters, violating the sovereignty of Vietnam’s sea and airspace.
