Another famous scenic spot in Ninh Binh is the tourist complex of Trang An, consisting of Bai Dinh Pagoda, the ancient capital of Hoa Lu, Tam Coc - Bich Dong, and Trang An wharf. Photo: Manh Thang - Hoang Anh.

Halong Bay is also a landscape that was selected by the Hollywood film crew. 

The Bay was formed after geological formations of hundreds of millions of years ago, including nearly 2,000 limestone islands spreading over an area of 1,553 km2. The combination of environment, climate, geological and natural factors created a special and unique ecological community.
