At 7h50 am, a MI 171 helicopter made the search over the U Minh Ha Forest in Ca Mau and U Minh Thuong Forest in Kien Giang. After more than 2 hours, the helicopter did not find anything.

The National Committee for Search and Rescue said that Vietnam has still had close cooperation with other countries participating in the search. Vietnam is trying to verify the information that a Chinese satellite took photos of objects and debris and assigned an AN26 aircraft to fly along the FIR to observe.

At 9h26 am today, the Malaysian military attaché said this country also sent two ships and two aircraft to the above area to check.

Today, Vietnam is still searching under its plan, with four planes and eight ships operating in Vung Tau, Can Tho, Ca Mau and Nam Can.

Earlier, at the press conference on March 12, Chief of General Staff Do Ba Ty said Malaysia had not formed a conclusion about the missing plane so the search would continue. However, Vietnam would reduce the frequency of the search at area to strengthen the search on land.
