VietNamNet Bridge – The Vietnamese female football team successfully defeated Hong Kong (China) 4-0 at in the last match of the Asian Cup qualifier on May 26.
In the fifth minute striker Nguyen Thi Minh Nguyet opened the scoring for Vietnam and two minute later it was doubled by captain Le Thi Thuong.
In the 30th minute Cheung Wai Ki kicked the ball into Hong Kong’s net.
The match was clinched 4-0 in the 58th minute by midfielder Kim Hong’s accurate ball.
With three wins after three matches and a goal difference of +24, Vietnam convincingly topped Group C to enter the final round of the tournament with Thailand (Group B) and Myanmar (Group D).
The final round, scheduled to be held in Uzbekistan, involves of eight teams, including four group winners of the Asian Cup qualifier and China, Japan, the Republic of Korea and Australia.
The top five of the event will qualify for the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Canada.
