Speaker Woo Won-shik expressed his belief that Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's visit would further deepen the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries, promoting the concretization of bilateral relations under the new framework.

He congratulated Vietnam on its recent socio-economic achievements and noted that both countries share similarities in history, culture, and economic development priorities, such as digital transformation, green transformation, and climate change response. He emphasized the complementarity of the two economies and their human resources.

Woo Won-shik affirmed that the Korean National Assembly would closely cooperate with the Vietnamese National Assembly to support the two governments in effectively implementing the action program to deploy the new relationship framework and promote cooperation in economic security and human resources.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, expressing his joy at visiting Korea, thanked the Korean National Assembly and people for their warm welcome. He congratulated Woo Won-shik on his recent election as Speaker of the Korean National Assembly and conveyed the congratulations and regards of National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and senior Vietnamese leaders.

The Prime Minister expressed his belief that Korea would continue to develop and achieve greater success, enhancing its regional and international standing, with the Korean National Assembly playing a crucial role.

The two sides noted that the Vietnam-Korea relationship has developed rapidly and substantially since their relationship was upgraded to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, with positive results in trade, investment, and people-to-people exchanges.

They agreed on the need to strengthen cooperation between their National Assemblies, promote exchanges of delegations and parliamentarians, and support each other's legislative bodies in promoting bilateral cooperation, including the goal of achieving $100 billion in trade turnover by 2025.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh suggested that the National Assemblies of both countries closely cooperate to effectively implement bilateral and multilateral cooperation mechanisms and support policies to integrate Vietnamese enterprises into the global supply chain of Korean enterprises.

He proposed further opening the Korean market to Vietnamese key export goods, including agricultural and aquatic products, and enhancing cooperation in digital and green transformation, with Korea supporting Vietnam in training human resources in semiconductors and AI.

Speaker Woo Won-shik invited Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to visit the Korean National Assembly, expressing his appreciation for the positive contributions of the Vietnamese labor community in Korea.

He agreed to work with the Vietnamese National Assembly to support the overseas Vietnamese communities, promoting cultural exchanges, tourism cooperation, and people-to-people interactions to enhance understanding and develop sustainable relations.

The two leaders also exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual concern and agreed to coordinate and support each other in international organizations. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh extended an invitation from National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man to Woo Won-shik to visit Vietnam, which the Speaker happily accepted.
