These figures were up 18.3% in volume and down 3.6% in value on-year, according to data from the General Department of Customs.
The volume of imported diesel reached almost 5.14 million tonnes, a rise of 19.3%. It accounted for 55% of the country's total imported oil and petrol products.
During the reviewed period, the Republic of Korea made up the biggest petrol exporter to the nation with around 3.7 million tonnes. This was followed by Singapore with two million tonnes, Malaysia with 1.8 million tonnes, China with 918,155 tonnes, and Thailand with 873,226 tonnes.
November alone witnessed petroleum businesses spend US$510.06 million on importing 607,318 tonnes, marking decreases of 19.7% in volume and 25.3% in value from the previous month.
