The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF)’s Disciplinary Committee has issued additional sanctions against several players in the 2025/26 National U19 Championship.

The sanctioned players each received a fine of approximately USD 155 and have been suspended for the remainder of the tournament for what the VFF described as “not playing to their full potential,” an action that was deemed seriously detrimental to the competition and the reputation of the VFF.

The disciplinary decisions affect goalkeeper Duong Thanh Tu, Vo Xuan Thien, Tran Nhat Luong, Thai Ba Bao Hoang, and Nguyen Dai Hue of U19 Hoai Duc; goalkeeper Vu Tuan Anh and Doan Quoc Huy of U19 Luxury Ha Long; and Dao Minh Tri of U19 Dao Ha Football Center.

Prior to this, the committee had already fined two players from U19 Be Tong 26  -  Tran Duy Quang and Truong Phu Quy  -  each USD 155 and suspended them from the rest of the 2025/26 tournament for similarly underperforming in a way that harmed the integrity of the event.

Three other members of the same team  -  Trieu Anh Khoa, Dinh Duy Bao, and Nguyen Cong Thuan  -  were fined USD 83 each and handed five-match bans across all future VFF-organized competitions for the same violation.

“The VFF reiterates its commitment to strict, non-exceptional enforcement of discipline, ethics, and the fight against all forms of misconduct in football,” the federation said in a statement.

“In the time ahead, the VFF will continue strengthening inspection, monitoring, and collaboration with relevant authorities to proactively identify and promptly address violations. This effort aims to cleanse the football environment, safeguard the core values of sportsmanship, and ensure a transparent, sustainable development path for Vietnamese football,” the statement concluded.
