VietNamNet Bridge - The national track and field team expects to win at least eight gold medals at the Southeast Asian Games 2011 in Indonesia later this month.
The high hopes are laid on runners Vu Thi Huong and Truong Thanh Hang, who are called Queens of Speed in Southeast Asia.

It is good news that Vu Thi Huong has nearly recovered from her injury and she aims to defend her championships in the 100m and 200m races.

Truong Thanh Hang, who is currently training in China, will leave for Indonesia two days before the competition. She hopes to win gold medals for women’s 800m and 1,500m events.

Athletes Vu Van Huyen, Nguyen Dinh Cuong, Vo Van Hung, Duong Van Thai and Duong Thi Viet Anh are also expected to win their events.

The track and field competition is scheduled for November 11-16 in Palembang, Indonesia.
