prize at a photo contest held by the Photographic Society of America in 2008.

In 2009, Le Hong Minh was named among the top photographers in the

world for black-and-white, small sized pictures, with 67 photos selected for

exhibition and many of them winning prizes of the Photographic Society of America.

According to the Photographic Society of America, Vietnamese photographer Dao Tien Dat

ranked seventh in 2009. In 2010, Dat won 81 international prizes in 17 countries.

He was selected as the best photographers in the world for black-and-white photos for

four consecutive years by the Photographic Society of America.

Thai Bich Thuan ranked 18th for black-and-white, large-sized photos in 2009, by the

Photographic Society of America. This is the first Vietnamese female photographers

who entered the Photographic Society of America’s top 22.

Viet Van is the first Vietnamese photographer who won a prize of the Four Season

international photo contest, held by the Worldwide Photography Gala Awards,

for “Harvest Season”.

Warm Kitchen by Huynh Minh Tri took the first prize at the 3rd VAPA-Nikon

international photo contest.

Nguyen Huynh Mai received the silver medal fo the International Federation for

Art Photography (FIAP) in 2011 for “H’mong girl in Mu Cang Chai”.

Bao Hung’s Rain won the bronze medal of the FIAP in 2011.
