VietNamNet Bridge – According to the Vietnamese Embassy in Israel, a Vietnamese delegation of one teacher and four students will attend the World Science Conference in Israel (WSCI), which is scheduled to take place in Jerusalem from August 15 to 20.

The delegation includes Nguyen Hoang Oanh, Deputy Director of the Management Board of the Vietnam-Japan University, the Hanoi National University (HNU); Tran Dang Phuc from the HNU, a second-prize winner at the 2012 International Mathematical Olympiad; Huynh Minh Khoi from the Ho Chi Minh City National University, a Hyundai scientific scholarship winner; Dao Vu Quang from the Hanoi-Amsterdam Gifted High School, winning silver medals at the 2013 International Junior Science Olympiad and the 2014 Korea International Mathematics Competition; and Nguyen Quang Minh from the University of Science’s Gifted High School, a winner at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (Intel ISEF).
The WSCI is the world’s biggest scientific conference with the participation of internationally renown scientists, Nobel laureates and over 400 bright young people from 70 nations and territories who represent the future generation of global scientists.
The event will be an opportunity for young people from around the world to gather, exchange and learn from each other, as well as meet with world-famous scientists to listen to their shared study experiences, study approaches and inspiration for their outstanding discoveries.
It is said that numerous Nobel laureates, including Prof. Aaron Chiechanover, Chemistry Nobel laurate in 2004; Prof. Robert J. Aumann, Nobal laurate in Economics Sciences in 2005; Prof. Ada Yonath, Chemistry Nobel laurate in 2009; Prof. Dan Shechtman, Chemistry Nobel laurate in 2011 and Prof. Arieh Warshel, Chemistry Nobel laurate in 2013, will attend the event.
