A 150 metre-high pagoda tower which is expected to be one of the world's tallest of its kind, will be built at the Nui Coc Lake tourism site in the northern province of Thai Nguyen according to the investor.

Director of Xuan Truong Construction Company, Nguyen Xuan Truong, is also investor of the famous Trang An Tourism Complex in Ninh Binh Province



Leaders of Thai Nguyen Province has just worked with Xuan Truong Construction Company who is the investor of the Nui Coc Lake tourism site project on the construction of the pagoda.

Xuan Truong Company presented to local authorities a design plan for the pagoda which can host up to 10,000 people.

The pagoda will take until 2026 to be constructed and involve experts and workers from Vietnam, Indonesia, India and Japan.

The Nui Coc Lake tourism site project was started on February 17 in Dai Tu District's Van Tho Commune with initial investment of VND15 trillion (US$6.6 million).

The construction plan includes a pagoda, temples, service areas, a five-star hotel, a 36-hole golf course, a boat wharf, and ethnic village areas.

The first phase of the project will be completed in four years and will welcome tourists by the end of 2019 while the whole project is expected to completed by 2035.
