The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) will join hands with Vietnamese tour operators to execute programs to promote the country as a destination for international visitors.

They will meet with foreign enterprises in Jakarta (Indonesia), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Singapore and major Chinese cities such as Guilin, Changchun, Dalian, Shenyang, Xi’an, Shanghai and Shenzhen.

Especially, the events in Guilin, Changchun and Dalian will be carried out by VNAT, Vietnam Airlines, the Vietnamese Embassy in China and the tourism authorities of these cities.

Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong, deputy director general of VNAT, said the events slated for the three ASIAN countries are annually organized. However, the events in China were not in the original plan, but China has re-emerged as a major source market.

Statistics of VNAT showed more than eight million international tourists arrived in Vietnam in January-October, 2.2 million of them from China.

VNAT has organized some tourism events overseas, and attended China International Travel Mart (CITM) in China and World Travel Market 2016 (WTM) in the U.K this November.
